N64 Keyboard Input

I'm writing this message cause I'm having an issue with the keyboard imput on the N64 emulator Mupen64Plus.
If I use the input plugin "blight's SDL input plugin 0.0.10" it will load up in the game's saying that there is no controller plugged in. But, if I try using the "Mupen64 basic input plugin" it won't allow me to configure the keyboard.
Does anyone know of another inpt plugin that I can use or how to fix the current plugin's I have?
