I've been able to reproduce that on an old machine running Firefox 14 and Flash 11.2, though Nesbox says it support Flash 11.2. What version of Flash do you have? It works for me with Flash 16 in Firefox 34 and IE 11.
The emulator starts functioning when I right-click and select "Settings", but then it won't let me close the Settings box. I'm using Mozilla Firefox.
