Re: Memory questions

Good to know it's not the processor. Bummer that the memory might not help. Well; it's a Hewlett Packard, the label on the front says; 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor; 4 GB SDRAM, 16 GB Intel Optane memory (still not certain what THAT'S supposed to provide!)
Typing "about this computer" gets me;
Windows 10 Home
Intel Core i5-82504 1.60 GHz 1.80 GHz
System 64-bit Operation System, x64-based processor
""Forever a n00b!""

By the way, unless it's a really specific laptop, I highly doubt you can upgrade the processor. All laptops nowadays and a lot of old ones weren't upgradeable
