Make sure the sampling rate is at 44100 Hz. Other than that, I think the problem is with your sound card or speakers.

I was curious if anyone else has had weird sound issues with ZSNES. I'm able to get sound, that's no problem, but lately I've noticed a lot of weird crackling and popping in the music. It's worse when the music only has a few instruments playing in it, and I think the worst I've heard it is in the "Dragon Quest I and II" ROM.
I've tried fooling with all the settings and it never seems to get any better. Anyone else have this problem?
