Hmm I see. Are you on Windows or Mac? I'm on Windows and when I did it for the first time, I got a message from Windows firewall and I had to select Allow access
The window that popped up looked like this (this is for a different program obviously but it's basically the same thing)

I get exactly those windows, it just crashes every time I select Start Network Link
