Diddy Kong Country: Diddy's Quest

Hello,

I'm having trouble with the level, Toxic Tower.  You morph into Rattly the Snake and you need to be able to use super jump.  I've tried holding down A, but it's not working.  Do you just hold down A until it jumps, or do you hold down A and B together.  Is there a combination?  Or do you have to hold it down for a REALLY long time.

Any help?
