Wii games over 4gb wont download

All Wii games that are larger than 4gb i've tried so far stop dead at exactly 4gb. All others work fine. What's up with that? I've tried download managers and pausing and resuming multiple times. Does the exact same thing at my buddys house. Any clue on this?
Games so far are Disneys Infinity and Modern Warfare 3. And it's exactly at 4.0gb no more no less
