Paper Mario Thousand Year Door

I downloaded Dolphin and the ROM here. When I try to start a game, it says that the memory card is corrupted and must be reformatted. When I try and click yes, it automatically selects no. When it then prompts me to continue without saving, it automatically selects no. Any ideas or fixes?
