Both NKit and Scrubbed ISOs can both be restored to a Redump ISO with NKit.

what incredibly weird timing that you posted this today, the day I decided to download smash bros. melee to try out netplay.

while I don't see any issue with reducing file sizes while retaining perfect playability, I'd like to just make mention of melee, since it's fairly unique in that its competitive scene is dependent on use of the original version of the iso, and the nkit version currently hosted on your site has a different md5 checksum such that the fan hacks intended for netplay and training do not work with it (I tried it a few minutes ago, see https://imgur.com/a/cqzZSl2).

if there is a way to change the checksum back that I'm unaware of, that's on me for not looking it up, but if part of your justification for changing the file types is "to improve the user experience for newcomers," it would be nice to have access to the original iso for the only game in the gamecube library with so extensive a hacking scene as to justify making it readily accessible.
