I third the motion.

The forums may be dead but this is still a wonderful site. Its like a part of internet history itself.
"What me worry?"
You wouldn't know it, but I was once a regular user of this message board. I first registered in 2000. Vimm's Lair was the first online community in which I became involved and then active, contributing to, in fact unintentionally co-creating a certain now-defunct collaborative story which ancient users may recall and enjoying general chit-chat about emulation and just about anything else.
I've only very recently seen the "News" item stating that the site is shortly to die. I own that the message board community is no longer a compelling reason to keep it - I myself have hardly posted here for months - but the ROMs and especially the manuals always have been and will be; the latter Project remains unrivalled and, well, special. And who knows, the chit-chat may come to thrive again.
Please, Vimm, heed the words of one of your longest-standing users, albeit a less frequent one than of old, and do all you can to keep Vimm's Lair going.
