need help with lufia 2 (glitchiest room ever)

so i've been playing lufia 2 (and loving it) and in the dual-blade shrine, theres a room thats so weird. its hard to explain, but the graphics dont make sense. if anyone has played through to that part, and figured out what to do, please post here and give me the directions
