Maybe I should say something about the games I picked... Bubble Bobble -- Action. Has the catchiest theme song (definitely beats SuperMarioBros.) Good 2-player, too. Best if you play it yourself. EVO: Search for Eden -- Adventure. In this game, you develop through millions of years from the beginning of life on Earth. Act 1, you're a fish. Act 3, you're a dinosaur. Act 5, you are a mammal, and can become human if you want to. How many games let you EVOLVE? Mischief Makers -- A perfectionist's game. Platformer. The easy goal is to get to the end of each level. The hard goal is to get to the end of each level as quickly as possible. You are graded on your speed. Can you get all "S" rank? Some levels are just platform-mazes, some have bosses you must fight, all are special in some way (Missle Surf, anyone?). Katamari Damaci -- Fun. Action. You roll everything into a ball. Lots of things into a big ball. From paper airplanes to buildings to people to clouds, anything you can think of. And it all becomes a shiny star at the end. Has great music. ((My older brother knows Japanese, so he plays this game on his Japanese PS2, so I really don't know what's going on. It's still fun to watch)) ------------

What are some of your favorite strange video games? (preferably under-rated/obscure/unusual)
The sort of games you've played for hours, but aren't sure if anyone else has even heard of them.

I can think of a few gems. Off the top of my head comes:
"Bubble Bobble" (NES)
"EVO: Search for Eden" (SNES)
"Mischief Makers" (N64)
"Katamari Damaci" (PS2)
