Whenever you load a savestate (the "F-key" save), it also reloads SRM data (the game's ordinary save file). My suggestion is to always use the savestates, or never use the savestates. I prefer savestates (they load faster and save anywhere), but if you still want the "real game" experience, then only save whenever you would normally be allowed to. If savestates don't work, then there's something seriously wrong. Try naming the ROM to something shorter, re-installing the emulator, or using a different emulator. ---------

i have tried saving it using the F keys on top of the game, i have tried saving the game with the actual save button, but for some reason it just does not restore my file every time i shut off the emulator. what am i doing wrong?
