Ghostbusters for NES.....not supported?

Hello, I've tried about every emulator I can think of for this rom, and can never get past the stage where you have to enter a blinking building at the beginning. The game either freezes or just won't progress.
Has anyone gotten this game to work, and if so with which emulator?
