Re: What to do?

I think N64 downloads wouldn't be such a great idea. Do remember how years back folks complained that our ROMs were corrupted since they wouldn't run in any emulator? Turned out the emulators themselves were the problem, since emulation of the systems was still young. We'd get a lot of these complaints again if we put up N64 games. As for Genesis, if making screenshots for the games is an issue, I can always help you with that. :-) Where to find all U.S. Genesis ROMs? Well, if you have a list of the ROMs you need, I can find some links for you that don't require five separate votes to Top Emulation Sites each time you want to download a ROM (There's a lot of sites like that for some reason). It's actually a help that you require no non-U.S. ROMs, so finding the proper sites shouldn't be so difficult. Gameboy games (especially GBC ones) are terrible buggers to try and find many ROMs for. I found one site that carried the Zelda: Link's Awakening ROM, and it disappeared two days later. Haven't found the ROM anywhere since then. - Tricob. "Glass Tiger for life! "

I suppose I could. The hardest part is working it into the download system though. It's rather complex and I look at it so rarely that I always seem to break it when I make changes. That's kinda why the Genesis section still isn't back, I'm really not in the mood to mess with the download system again. I've learned a lot since I wrote it so it's really due for another revision. There's this new thing called AJAX that I wouldn't mind playing with a bit.

The problem with adding a new system is where to get the ROMs to start it. I'm not so worried about people filling their collections at Vimm's Lair anymore (when's the last time you saw someone complaining about the "bad" ROMs here?), but I still need to get them from somewhere. There's also the issue of making screen shots which takes a long time. I've considered adding N64 off and on over the years (now that it's clearly no longer in production), but where would I find a "good" set of US ROMs? I'm way outa the loop on stuff like that.
