Aren't the "Lost Levels" of Super Mario All-Stars for the SNES considered the REAL Super Mario Bros 2?

i just read a qoute on ign that they never release the real version of smb2 in the states, exact qoute "It really doesn't get much better than that. And for the record, he was impressed with my platforming skills. Perhaps it's time to release the real Super Mario Bros. 2 in USA, eh Miyamoto?"

so now i must know if its really diffrent. can someone get a version up?...if possible of course
