PS3 emulator is lagging

I just downloaded RPCS3 emulator for Red Dead Redemption (PlayStation 3's game) and it is lagging. My PC is a few years old. Here is my specs
Windows 10 64 bits
CPU i7-6700 3.4 GHz 4 cores
Nividia GeForce GTX 970 (Yes it is outdated and need to be upgraded)
8 gb RAM memory
Is there any way I can fix this?
