it really depends what you mean. wii/gamecube games can be played 'online' with dolphin emulator's netplay feature however youre only playing with other people emulating, not real nintendo servers. so yeah you can play gamecube games online but not officially and not with people on actual gamecube/wii consoles

Is it possible that some of the newer games will be able to be played online?
