Wii wbfs, crc32, serial #, and RetroArch

Love the site. Maybe this is more a RetroArch q but I can't seem to get Retroarch to verify the Wii games and wanted to know if the crc listed on here for each game is the same as the crc32 that they need? I try using notepad++ to edit the playlists like with say but with like Super Mario Galaxy I put in the name and then add the crc just like they say in their walkthrough but no thumbnails. I've tried the listed crc and serial numbers and no luck. Thx for any help
