Damn read that wrong.Sorry.[most] Wii games are designed for 16:9
[all] Wii games SUPPORT 4:3
The game's output aspect ratio is based on your wii display setting
BUT, Wii ONLY outputs a 480i or 480p signal with a 4:3 aspect ration
For a 16:9 image it really just renders a squished 4:3 image which your TV stretches to fill the screen. You can see this if you set your TV to show true aspect ratio and set your Wii to 16:9.
You also have to set your 16:9 tv to show true aspect ration when playing GameCube games that only support 4:3, as they will otherwise stretch which doesn't look very good.
