Re: I'm not Vimm, but ...

I believe your question was answered on the ZSNES boards. As Deathlike 2 explained:
"The Mega Man X issue you are experiencing is a result of OpenBus support not being implemented. The copy protection of the game reacts like that. A recommended solution is to use the 1.1 revision of the game, which doesn't react as such (it uses a different scheme for copy protection which ZSNES will work fine with)."
Based on that description it sounds like I have 1.0 in The Vault.
All ROMs in the Vault are perfect copies as verified by GoodSNES back in 2000, however the checksums are intentionally made bad. I found this was a very effective way to keep collectors from wasting my bandwidth downloading games only to display them as trophies, and it doesn't affect the ROM's performance in any way. This site is meant for people to play games for nostalgia's sake and I try to encourage that wherever I can.

I never said it was about rom collecting or nostalgia, it's about a compatibility issue and the fact that possibly alot of the roms on here don't work well with ZSNES when they work fine on other emulators. That's why this message was to Vimm to see if he can confirm the part about the utility I used showing them as bad roms. I'm already working with a ZSNES developer, btw Tricob..ZSNES doesn't have drivers.
