Thanks for the input. I honestly haven't checked lately, so my information is a few months old. Emulator programmers might have fixed the problem with the copy protection scheme since then. I'm not really familiar with the game but I heard that the special circuit does unlock but only if you: 1. beat the three circuits without losing even once. 2. You CANNOT use any cheat codes at all

there's also some question about whether or not you can or cannot use save states. Also, if you're playing it on Snes9x for the PSP you need to make sure the SRAM saves and even then it still might not work.

Not that it will make a difference but here are Super Punch Out! ROMs US, Europe, and Japanese releases in case anyone wants to test this theory (I'm WAY too lazy to do it myself, especially without cheating).
