It is very hard to hide a virus inside a ROM, let alone cause it to be executed on the host computer via an emulator. It is far more likely that your antivirus is simply giving you a false positive, especially since a Google search shows many people complaining that their own homemade software is being detected as "Wacatac". Seems that it's a generic polymorphic trojan that gets its randomly generated signatures confused with non-malicious files from time to time.
Feel free to delete the file if you want, but Vimm regularly checks its files against a database of known good dumps, so it's unlikely that any downloads are infected with anything. You can go to Redump.org yourself and check if the hash matches their database, and just in case it was a man in the middle attack, you can check it against Vimm's own hash, every download page has one.
