First I will tell you the strategy games I can think of. Aerobiz,Aerobizsupersonic, GenghisKhan2, Operation Europe, romance of the 3 Kingdoms2, 3and4 and MetalMarines. The RPG's I like are:Bahamut Lagoon, Breath of firo 1 and 2, Dragon BallZ legend of the Super Sayin, Earth bound, EVO, Front Mission, Lufia 1 and 2, Robo Treck and The Secret of Evermore. PS These are all for the snes and the ones I recomend most are Robo Treck,Secret of Evermore,Earthbound,Aerobiz and Metal Marines. "I like my women like I like my coffee. Not sure about strategy games, though there are SNES versions of Civilization and one or two Sim games (whether they're any good I don't know). As for RPGs, some excellent ones for the SNES are Secret of Mana and its sequel Seiken Densetsu 3 (never released in English but a translated ROM is available); another is Chrono Trigger. The two Uncharted Waters games are rather unconventional ones which you might like (the first exists for both NES and SNES; you want the latter version).

There are lots of others I don't know very well. Super Mario RPG (also SNES) is popular, as to varying degrees are the various NES and SNES Final Fantasy games.

As for the Megadrive (the proper name for the Genesis), you sound better informed than me.

I hope that's an adequate start and that other more devoted players can tell you more.
