Depends on what types of games you're wanting.  For high-quality, entertaining games in general though, here's a few:

Aero Acro-bat
Battletoads and Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team
Battemaniacs (Battletoads entry)
Choplifter 3
Clock Tower (WARNING: VERY intense adventure game!)
Final Fantasy 3
Legend Of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Mega Man X
Prince Of Persia
Rockfall (PD game, available outside of Vimm's Lair)
Super R-Type
Super Mario RPG
Super Metroid
Super Offroad

While it's high-quality as far as sound and graphics, "Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure" didn't port well to the SNES, imo.  SNES Pitfall has serious problems with its controls;  the first level can't even be beaten.  Try the Genesis version instead.

I also avoided listing games where I thought the Genesis version was better.  I thought Genesis's "Castlevania: Bloodlines" packed many more levels and better music into one game than either SNES entry did for the Castlevania series.   Also, "Earthworm Jim" and its sequel has many more levels and features in the Genesis version than the SNES version.  It felt much more complete to me.  I also felt the same way about the Lemmings game.

Well i personly favor the final fantasy series. (5 being my favorite.) and megaman X games... If u dont know wat final fantasy is its a 2D RPG series that are absolutly awesome! They are challenging and have good story lines.

Now megaman are a shooting type game where u are a cyborg character inwich u are trying to stop the conflict between humins and reploids. Both series are amazing...

but im sure Dhaos and Tricob are gonna have some HUGE extravagant list for u in a couple of days...
