I'm not to big on nes, but as for the others i know some good ones.
  SNES STRATEGY- Der langrisser is a good one..i loved it,OgreBattle,as for civilization n sims n such..not me..i would recommend notto try em if you dont like the sims(again i dont), BahamutsLagoon,All the romance of the three kingdoms,one of my favorites Front Mission.
 SNES RPGS-Final Fantasy 4(aka2), 5, 6(aka3), ChronoTrigger,Tales of Phantasia,Star Ocean,SuperMarioWorldRPG,Breath of Fire 1&2,Earthbound(yes cartoony but good),Lufia 1&2,RomancingSaga3(look at nerologic.com),Treasure of the Rudras(again look at nerologic.com),Terranigma
GENISIS-as for this well there arnt to many good ones..but check out PhantasyStar games..i like 4..and i recently tried those shiningforces like you said, those are pretty cool...and another strategy game for genisis is Warsong its in the Langrisser series which is pretty good....and thats about all i know ..enjoi.....Terence

Hello everyone Im new to the board and was wondering what some of the good RPG's and strategy game for NES SNES and GENESIS were? Ive played the Shining Force series from Genesis and I absolutely loved it, but I never owned an SNES and I dont know much about the games for it.
