HELP!! NESemulator programs

Dear peeps, love the work you guys put in, I can play my childhood games again! :D However every nes emulator I try and get from this site it asks me to run or save, I click run...it runs...it finishes some seconds later then a command prompt window pops up for half a second then dissappears, then nothing happens, Ive tried every one of them, I even tried saving then running. Same thing happens...please help.
