The point of making them self-extracting executables is so that you don't need WinZip or WinRar, or any other unzip program. I've been doing that for almost 10 years now so I'm afraid I don't know why they won't work for you.

Thanks for that, but I'm not running Vista I'm running XP.

I erased the registry value for S32evnt1.dll since the program that was for is no longer installed on my computer and now when I try to run the self-extracting .exe's a black command box pops up then quickly disappears not doing anything. This sounds like the same thing that happened to jnaddy in "Help!! NESemulator programs" post.

Perhaps the problem is that I don't have WinZip and my computer isn't recognizing that it is a self-extracting file? I use WinRAR.

Also, your new self-extracting files (ZsnesW, Snes9x, and GENS anyways) have made things worse on my end, now I can't just rename them to .zip and extract them, they act like they are corrupted now.
