Thanks, I'll give Beetle Saturn core a try this evening and see how that works.
An example of a PS1 game that is giving me this issue is Rival Schools: United by Faith.

The Beetle Saturn core is probably the best quality core for Saturn, and that one needs a BIOS which you can get here:

The Yaba Sanshiro core is outdated and does not receive updates.
I don't know which games are giving you issue, so I can't test them myself, but I tried four popular games (Spyro, Tomb Raider, Tony Hawk and Symphony of the Night) and they all worked fine with Swanstation. I don't have a Fire Stick to try them on, though, so it might be an issue with that.
