I have to think it's an issue with the Fire Stick then. They're not the most powerful devices. Have you tried Duckstation for Android instead of using Retroarch?

Yup. Just tried it again and I get the error message "ERROR: The system failed to boot. The log may contain more information." When I try the .bin is when it starts to load then it goes to the Main Menu memory card screen.
