I'd have to say at least five years. I actually visited the site a few months before registering, when someone named "Gradius" was posting. AFAIK, Gradius was not the "Milo Sedlacek" dude from QB45.COM whose name was spelled the same, but with lower-case letters. And as far as the Gradius in Vimm's Lair is concerned, I honestly can't remember what happened to him. :-(
