I'm using Dolphin 5.0-19368. My controller is an official nintendo usb gamecube controller. All the controls are set to the default, and work properly in the configuration menu, but not in the game.
I'm going to try getting the latest version of dolphin and see if that fixes it.

What version of Dolphin are you using? What controller are you using and what do you have bound to the Z button?
