In regards to the hacking rumors for that site, check message boards outside of this one for threads that cover this topic. It's often fairly obvious when someone's making credible statements or simply jumping to conclusions. If something you read gives you a pause, investigate what you've read and you can probably decide for yourself the validity of the claim in question.
It'll probably help to read posts from folks who regularly visited CherryROMs before the site shutdown. They could give details on the site's behavior before its collapse. If the hacking rumors are true, the user will likely elaborate more than one tell-tale sign of hacking attempts.

That was him I think. I was just checking up on some old internet haunts and found out they were no longer around.
I did a bit of net searching and found very little info but alot of other ppl say they were hacked as well. I dunno.
