OK so to quickly follow up, I extracted an ISO of the game to my external drive and when i tested it, it crashed in the same place. I think there's perhaps a bitrate issue with playing it on an external drive. My apologies for calling into question the quality of your files.
I DLed the ISO of Asura's Wrath to play on my PS3 and it hard crashes at the "Press Start" screen. I have to flip the main power switch off and on to get the system to reset. The JB Folder crashes in the same place on RPCS3. To be absolutely sure that it wasn't a model issue like with Twisted Metal, I went and bought a copy of Asura's Wrath at a local second hand store and it at least gets into the gameplay. So i believe your ISO copy is heavily flawed if not corrupted.
