You're comparing apples and oranges. An ISO and an XISO are not the same, and there's nothing wrong with the ISO in The Vault.
The XISO is built with extract-xiso (the specific version's listed in the readme). extract-xiso has known flaws that affect some games, so this must be one of them. The Xbox Vault will be switching to xdvdfs in the future.

I wasn't wrong for the most part. Harcroft helped me take a look inside, and for some reason Vimm's XISO has assets from an English release replace the contents of the Italian maps folder. There was no language mismatch either: Spanish is the default, and Italian has English assets in it. There's nothing actually wrong with the Myrient image, only Vimm's;
Before anyone else is misled and runs in circles like I did, do you think somebody could replace the game with a good dump?
