I think it's a problem with emulatorJS not properly handling touch input. I'd recommend using a standalone emulator instead.
I've been using Chrome Edge. And I should specify that using the mouse for the touch screen works fine but my laptop has a touch screen that doesn't work and my phone doesn't seem to recognize the touch either.
