Don't know anything about the UberNES emulator, but using the directional controls through the Keypad rather than the arrow keys helps the game respond to more keys at one time.

To Vimm and company: You absolutely rock my pixelated socks off! I can't wait to get some actual controller pads and then relive the Bronze and Iron ages of my gaming life. Or at least the interesting parts.

Now for the selfish, answer-seeking part of my post. My first foray into the yesteryears (Nestoryears!!!) is Super Mario Bros. The instruction booklet suggests holding "the button down longer" in order to jump higher than normal, and I believe this is in reference to the A button.

However--while using my keyboard--I don't think this is working. When I press the A button, I jump. Keeping my finger on it thereafter appears to accomplish nothing.

I'm using the UberNES emulator. Any thoughts?
