Technically "eastern" should be capitalized but aside from that, what would make this more clear?

"Downloads in The Vault may be offline today from 1:00am - 8:00am eastern due to maintenance."

I just saw a message in the Vault saying downloads might be unavailable for a few hours due to maintenance. Fine, but that doesn't tell me the affected times, because you forgot to include the timezone. UTC? UK time which is currently one hour later due to British Summer Time? EST? The times are meaningless without knowing what timezone it is.
