I don't know about the youtube part, but for snes9x all you do is load the game, get to where you want to start recording, Press FILE, Record AVI..., create a file name and save location, choose a compression codec or no compression.  If you choose no compression the movie file will be huge.  When you're done recording press FILE,  Stop Avi recording.

Hi I would like to know how to record a movie while playing a Rom and saving it so I can upload it to youtube. How is this done?
