Is the app any better than the website?

Just curious since the website itself, while very useful, is really not all that great. Frequent issues with clicking links, ghost downloads, and such. I'm wondering if any of those problems find their way into the app itself?
Because if I can get the same great site, without the poorly maintained part, in the form of an app, that would be the opposite of not great. XD
