Really? My friend whos German called it Demon World when he told me.
Wikipedia redirects Demon World to Devil World. And since they have a picture of the European box that says Devil World, I would say thats the title.
If you read under Cameos, it says that In Super Smash Brothers Melee it's erroneously referred to as Demon World. Also, it says the Devil is referred to as The Demon in the European version. So thats probably the ambiguity in the title.
