I usually go "old-school" myself, but this recent release is definitely one of the better ones. It won't become legendary, because it has an obsolete game engine, but I found it just as exciting as today's 3D games *should* have been. :-)

Enjoy. :-)

Thinking about FF7 makes me think, I have a hard time being interested in new games anymore. I have a large collection of good games that I know I'll enjoy, many of which I haven't played in years. X-com, Wing Commander, Dragon Warrior, even Final Fantasy 7 is a great example. I pulled it out last year as part of a multi-year Final Fantasy marathon (played all 12 in order) and I played it through for the first time since I bought it. When you consider its release date, that was ten years ago! After so long it was like playing the game again for the first time, as I hardly remembered anything about it (even the story). I could say the same for many other games in my collection. So why should I take a chance on a new game I "might" like when I can rediscover an old game I know I like?
