I have done some research, and currently SixtyForce and Mupen64 seem to be your only two options. The SixtyForce website says DK64 is "unplayable". After some lurking, it seems Mupen64 can't get past the intro in DK64. This 'Crossover' program I keep reading about has to be your only option. This video shows you how. Hope it works for you.

I greatly appreciate the quick responses from you both. Believe me I have searched on Google and every ROM does not seem to cooperate. Also for myself, the ROM on this website does not work for me unfortunately. Mind you though, I have failed to mention that I am using a Mac and a SixtyForce N64 Emulator. So I'm sure there are bound to be issues. The only other Emulator I have ever seen for a Mac is the Mupen64Plus Emulator which is practically beta. That one at least gives me a screen but the "rumble pack needed" screen appears. Ah well, I will figure this out someday, rest assured - but thank you for the help.
