You should experiment with the video settings for each game to try and get the best performance. Sometimes Pete's Direct3d plugin works better than his OpenGL and vice-versa. Also, choose Fast instead of Nice for video default settings.
That's what I was thinking also. I have to say SNES is pretty slick, particularly snes9x and I am hoping the psxe goes the same way. I haven't played a game that needs a disc change yet, but I keep hearing complaints about that. Also, I've had some choppiness with FFT, FF9 and Castlevania:SotN. Nothing that would make me stop playing :-)
