I'm using the PCSX but it is similar.
Open PCSX
Go to Configurations => Plugins and Bios => Under graphics CONFIGURE => Off screen Drawings => Enhanced (3)
ePSXe correct?
Try this:
1. Load ePSXe
2. Goto Config=>Video
3. Click the Configure button for Main Video Plugin
4. Under Compatibility turn Off-Screen Drawing to 3 - Enhanced.
5. Click OK and run game normally.
