[Help] The name of a space shooter

A long time ago I played a certain space shooter where I believe its main peculiarity is the ability to take the powers and become any enemy ship you wanted by shooting at it (Basically you copied it). I don't remember if it was for NES or SNES, memory fails me right now.
Can anyone help me?
