I'm having a little trouble with this game. I'm using ePSXe and haven't had any troubles with it but when I try to play FF9 the battle menu just doesn't appear, all other text shows up fine, but no battle menu or HP gauges and such.

Has anyone else had this problem before?

I read another post here about someone else who was having trouble with this game regarding the screen size and it doesn't seem to be the same problem.
