Sounds like you changed Slots with your saved states. I unfortunately have no Mac experience, but there should be documentation telling you how the saved slots work.
BTW, it's probably advisable not to post serious questions on April Fool's Day. :-)

I'm running SNES9x on MacOS Snow Leopard (the latest one before Lion). When I attempt to load my game file for Final Fantasy 3, for some reason I'm only able to load my file from an early save I made. I played for about two hours longer, but for some reason when I try to load the game the emulator wants to load a game save I've progressed past and saved over. Help!
