ZSNES lag

Hey, dose any one here have a problem with some games on the ZSNES? On a few games, like Bahamut Lagoon, it lags. The lagging is not hardware but I think it means that the emu's processing is too low or it dosen't tap enough power from my computer. I there any solution? "I like my women like I like my coffee.
