Hey...i juste read your message and i knew you were talking about a game... i dont remember the exact name,and i couldnt find the gamebut i remeber it was either mag max or mad max.... hope theaht it'll help ya

You are a robot in the game, sidescrolling collecting body parts to increase your killing power, the cartridge had a purple and silver design if memory serves me right. The robot would start off little ad then get a body and then its legs
